Great park to take the kids to. The play scape, swings and sand lot are all gated in so you don't have to worry about your kids running off in opposite directions and going too far. There is a smaller pavilion in the play area and a large pavilion on the opposite side of the parking lot that sits on a small hill. There is a small farm area with a nice assortment of animals. The children are all very excited to see them. Easy access to everything, wheelchair friendly. The bathrooms are nice. There is another, out of the way pavilion that you can reserve for gatherings and request tractor pulled hay rides.
Great family friendly free day
This is a free park and there is so much to do. The fenced in playground is great. The area is mostly for older kids.
The animals are easy to access and can be a great learning experience for anyone. The chickens are free roaming and might try to chase you. There is also a community garden.
We ventured here for the first time over a month ago! Lovely farm setting and great playground area. There’s a separate covered area with picnic tables and a birthday party was occurring while we were there. Love their shiny red barn and the animals at the farm and man made pond with weeping willow tree.
It’s a nice park but the playground definitely for older kids. There is also sand everywhere at the playground so be prepared for that. The whole park is really nice and there’s a cute gazebo you can host parties at even.
Such a great park! Pavilion and field next to it with fire pit and benches around it (firewood provided), petting zoo with ponies, ducks and goat, gazebo, clean bathrooms with real faucets, huge fully gated playground which has large clean sandpit, maze, benches and picnic tables! I think this has become my favorite park!
animals poorly taken care of. chickens pecking eachother to death, rabbits in small hot cages no room to stretch. dirty water bottles for the animals so they don’t get clean water ever. great for a play ground for kids tho should b banned from having animals not properly taken cage of
The playground area was nice but I feel so bad for the animals such small space for them the chickens are pecking each other to death. The rabbits are not in a big enough habitat. Dirty water bottles (one of which was a mountain dew bottle). The sheep need to be sheared they're filthy.
Very nice park. There's rows and rows of park benches and picnic tables, for family groups or couples. There's even a place to walk alongside the beach called the boardwalk. The beaches roped off oh, so no worries about going into lake traffic. There is an entry fee to enter this park. Or you can get a yearly pass. In my opinion it's one of the "best of Michigan" places to venture.
